Broadcast Media Group provides better ideas, better customer service and Great TV

Broadcast Media was founded in 1996  with a vision to include a wide range of services to companies across the country. In 2009, the company moved to a new, 9,000 square foot facility with expanded capabilities. We now offer three custom-built, sound proof edit bays, a 1000 square foot insert studio and plenty of room where our clients can work.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality product that satisfies our clients’ needs and desires. We strive to be honest, open-minded, fair and above reproach in every relationship in which we partner.

The BMG Team

Robbie Coblentz, President, Broadcast Media Group, Inc.Robbie Coblentz – President/Executive Producer

Hopeless Cubs, Mississippi State and Saints fan. Dad of two. Loves to edit.

Robbie started Broadcast Media in 1996 as a weekend gig. He took it full-time in 1997.

Four offices and countless boxes of SVHS, 3/4″, Betacam SP and DVCPro tape later, he is enjoying life as a high-paid, low stress production executive.

He thinks Citizen Kane is the greatest movie ever. Seen U2 in concert 3 times. Has a great wife who runs half marathons.

And he really does think the Cubs will win it all one day.

Laura Crum , Creative Director/Producer, Broadcast Media Group Laura Dixon – Creative Director/Producer

Weadonite. Recovering Avid editor.

Laura hangs out in Edit B where she dispenses her special brand of editorial guidance.

Laura took an interest in video production at an early age that continued through high school and college. She is a graduate of Mississippi State University.

Broadcast Media’s resident Weadonite, Laura enjoys watching old episodes of “Buffy” and singing along to “Doctor Horrible’s Sing Along Blog.” And though she started her career editing on Avid’s, she has come to love and accept Final Cut Pro.

Emilee Harris , Senior Producer, Broadcast Media GroupEmilee Harris – Producer
Drummer. Titans fan. Lover of all things NASCAR.

Emilee originally came to Starkville to become a meteorologist. After finishing a degree in broadcast meteorology at Mississippi StateUniversity, she decided high pressure systems and record lows weren’t for her.

Back from a stint closer to home in Knoxville, she has shed all things orange to embrace her beloved maroon and white. (Ask her about Phil Fulmer’s dry cleaning.)

Emilee is lead producer on BMG’s Christian Rock video show “Believe.” (Not to be confused with Laura Crum’s award-winning “Believe” video.)  She hopes to one day drum like Keith Moon without living like Keith Moon.

Chris Roland – Assistant Producer

Christopher is a Senior Communication major with an emphasis in Broadcasting from Meridian, MS.

Chris came to BMG in the fall of 2011 as an intern before being hired part-time as an assistant producer. While becoming more and more of a nerd everyday, Chris is constantly trying to learn and improve upon his art. He hopes to one-day work in the film industry as an actor, editor, writer, director, producer or all of the above.

Chris loves soccer, the Packers, cheesy one-liners, French toast, Sydney, and Apple TV.

Jarvis Thompson – Assistant Producer

Pro Tools Guru, Steelers and LSU fan (with a hint of MSU pride), Final Cut Master(in training). Born and raised right here in Starkville, MS.

Sparked by early years of playing violin in the orchestra, his love of music spilled over into film, and later blossomed while rooming with a best friend and film student while receiving his degree in Audio Engineering at Full Sail University in Florida.

Jarvis started as a Intern here at Broadcast Media, and quickly became known as “King Audio” for his amazing audio editing skills and attention to detail, but could never get enough of the film shoots, and being in the field.

He now works here part time as a Assistant Producer, and is an aspiring Final Cut Master.
